That’s what Nico fought for, and today his legacy continues through the Nicolas Gogan Foundation. We support the well-being and success of the trans+ community by providing mutual aid for healthcare, housing, legal services, and education/professional development for trans+ folks in need.
Who is Nicolas Gogan?
Nicolas Gogan - or, as his loved ones called him, Nico - was an artist, activist, and self proclaimed “fairy trans-father” to all that knew him.
His fearless advocacy, generosity, and love for his trans+ community made an impact that keeps his mission alive in our advocacy, our art, and our hearts to this day.
Keeping Nico’s mission alive
Nico became the family many folks were missing. He loved every trans+ person he met, even if they only met virtually, and although he didn’t have much to give, he always managed to help his trans+ family through tough times.
The Nicolas Gogan Foundation gives small grants directly to trans+ individuals who need a little extra support for the needs of daily life, ever-expanding the network of Nico’s chosen family.

The trans+ community faces unique challenges unseen by many. From legal hurdles like name and gender marker changes, to housing and employment discrimination, to violence and harassment, our trans+ siblings often face extra hardship with less parental or social support. That’s where we step in.
